Winter Solstice

Winter Solstice brought a wonderful ritual with my coven mates as we sang pagan carols. Dancing in a Wiccan Wonderland is a favorite along with Joy to the World (Pagan style). Check out more cool pagan carols at this link http://www.geocities.com/limmortal/pagx.html

Many do not know that the ancient tradition of Winter Solstice is the celebration that honors the return of the sun. Christianity adapted this long held tradion to be Christmas which celebrates the birth of the sun. Little bit ironic eh?

My Family

This is a picture of me Harry, my partner of 7 years and our two children. Ivan is 21 months old and says about 50 different words. He loves to cook with me, play tinker toys and follow his sister. Grace is 4 years old and wants to be a princess when she grows up. Ariel (The little memaid) is her favorite but she knows she can't become a mermaid unless Mommy comes up with a "grow a fin" spell. She also likes to act, sing and dress up.

This picture was taken by my friend Angela who also has an excellent blog at www.fannymanson.blogspot.com We were at Praire Meadows watching the horses.

Ahhh, the moon goddess. She brings me great joy. Tonight on a new moon I am vowing to embrace technology so that I might find easier ways to connect with my true friends and with this blog I become inducted into the technological revolution. Well I must be doing something right as a raccoon just came right up to my sliding glass door and waved hello. In case you didn't know, I believe in signs from the universe. I also believe that finding joy in life is something we all should do more often.
